Ingredients
1 cup pumpkin seeds
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup sesame seeds
1 cup chia seeds
1 cup flax seeds
1 cup hemp seeds (optional)
Dried herbs of choice rosemary, oregano, garlic, onion powder, zattar, etc.
Salt & pepper to taste
Flavour options: nutritional yeast for cheese flavour or raising/goji berries for a sweet version
Water, 1 and half cups, or enough to form a dough
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine all the seeds and mix thoroughly so they are well combined.
Add your chosen herbs and flavorings.
Gradually add water, a little at a time, until the mixture forms a thick, dough-like consistencty. Let it sit for a few minutes so the chia and flax seeds can absorb the water and become sticky. Then add a bit more water if needed so the mixture spreads easily into a thin layer.
Place the mixture onto a dehydrator tray lined with parchment paper., if needed. Spread it out evently into a thin layer and pre-cut squares with a knife while still wet.
Dehydrate at about 45°C for 6-8 hours or until crisps, depending on the thickness.
Once fully dehydrated, let them cool down. Store in an airtight container in the fridgge for up to a month.
